GLEE – Sue Sylvester’s Vogue

I can’t help it. I am a HUGE GLEE fan. Needless to say, I am a HUGE MADONNA fan as well.
So when the Glee producers announced that they’re doing a Madonna episode, I get so happy with glee (pardon the pun) that I was counting the days until they air tis episode in US so I can download the torrent to watch it as soon as I can.
This is of course, in my personal opinion – the best GLEE episode EVER!!! It pulled in 13.5 million viewers in US. AMAZE-BALLS!
All the remakes of Madonna’s songs are great. They’re updated, modern and original. Something that Simon Cowell has said countless times on American Idol and I’m sure if he saw this episode, he would approve. Of course, the most important stamp approval must come from Her Madgesty herself… and she approves.
My favourite remake in the entire episode has got to be Sue Sylvester (played by America’s current favourite lesbian Jane Lynch) version of Madonna’s classic Vogue. If you’re outside US and haven’t seen this yet, here it is.
If you’re like me and you’ve seen the original Madonna’s Vogue video a gazillion times, you would notice that it is indeed an identical version (scene by scene) remake. I have seen this Glee version a few times now. Everytime, without fail, when it came to the dance break, I cheer!!!
Watching Jane Lynch perfect the dance moves was EPIC!!! Her vocals were good and the little lines poking fun at Sue Sylvester and Will Schuester is high-larious!!
I also came across this other video that a user posted to make a side-by-side comparison of this Vogue remake. Check it out here.
This Madonna Glee episode was so successful that the producers are talking about another sequel. AWESOME!!! I CAN’T WAIT!!!
PS. Side note – Do you know that there’s going to be a Lady Gaga episode coming soon this new season?
Come on, Gleek!!! Cheer with me!
