(Review + Discount Code) Sudio Niva Wireless Earphones

*This is a sponsored review unit from Sudio Sweden*

Ever since I bought my first pair of wireless earphones, I have been bombarded with a number of other similar earphones from other brands. And none is more prominent, and sexy looking, than Sudio NIVA.

Thanks to the folks at Sudio Sweden, I got my hands on a pair of Sudio NIVA (RM 425), just in time for their upcoming Valentine’s Day 2019 promotion. And I have a promo code that will give you 15% discount, which means the NIVA will only cost you RM 361.25!!!

Inside the box, you’ll find a round puck-shaped charging case with a leather band, the NIVA wireless earphones, spare rubber earbuds, micro USB charging cable, Quick Start guide and user manual.

The earphones are available in 3 colours – White, Black and Pink. Yes, the latter is a new colour, but I just can’t bring myself to use a pair of girlie pink earphones. So, I picked the White coloured ones, which looks so gorgeous and premium, I love it!

Sudio NIVA connects using Bluetooth 4.2 technology and comes with a built-in microphone for phone calls. Sudio claims the earphones last up to 3.5 hours of playback. Fortunately, the round carrying case doubles as a charging port – and can give your earphones 4 additional charges, bringing total play time to a whopping 17.5 hours.

To be honest, I feel the carrying case, while stylish, seems a little too bulky for my liking. It charges with a micro USB port at the back. While the front features 4 dots that light up when charging.

Awhile back, I purchased an Indiegogo wireless earphones – ERL Tech Wireless Earbuds (RRP RM 286.23).

Comparing the Sudio NIVA with my ERL Tech earbuds, both devices have their strengths and weaknesses.

While the ERL Tech has a smaller carrying case and retails at a much cheaper price, the Sudio NIVA does look a lot sexier with its gold accents, smaller size and better in-ear fit.

I love how the Sudio NIVA fits in my ear with their default earbuds, even when I was working out and bouncing around, head-banging like a crazy lady! Most of the time, I have to switch to a smaller or larger rubber earbuds as in-ear headphones don’t fit my weird ear canal very well. The Sudio NIVA was a perfect fit!

As for sound quality, the NIVA performs well enough, streaming music from Spotify while I work out. The volume could be louder, if you’re like me who likes blasting loud music that drowns out surrounding sound. So, having said that, the NIVA is not exactly noise cancelling either. 🙁 And the sound could do with a bit more bass.

Unfortunately though, the sound quality wasn’t too consistent – as the volume fades in and out, or moves from left to right earbud occasionally. Maybe it’s the weak battery towards the end of the charge.

Phone calls with the built in microphone works well enough, but I’m not one who enjoys bluetooth speaker / earphones calling, so it’s a rarely used feature for me.

If you’re looking at getting your hands on this Sudio NIVA wireless earphones, or perhaps looking to getting this as a Valentine’s Day gift for your loved ones, I have good news for you.

Sudio Sweden is having an exclusive 2019 Valentine’s Day promotion with a FREE gift package, additional 10% discount if you buy 2 or more earphones and FREE Delivery worldwide, and that means Malaysia, too.

And if that’s not sweet enough for you…
